The Lola Belle Experience
On Jan. 14th, Julie and I checked into St. Francis Hospital at 7:30 PM in Tulsa, Ok. After a sleepless night for mommy they broke her water at 7:15 AM and she began pushing at 1:00 PM. After some strong work from Julie, Lola was born @ 1:38 PM. Her vitals were 7 lbs. 11 oz. and she was 20 inches long. My world has changed, before the world was vast and today it all fits in one 20 inch package that we have been waiting for 9 months.
For those of you unfamiliar to our story, Julie was gracious to let me name her after my grandmother who taught me to be the man I am today. After her death when I was 15, I have always wanted to carry on her namesake. When I first laid my eyes upon her I instantly became overwhelmed by the emotions of my love for my new child and love for my grandmother whom I haven't seen in 16 years.
Our world has changed, we have honored those who got us here, and we are officially parents to the most beautiful little girl in the world (at least in my opinion).
